PG13 Horror Movie = TRASH!
Stop it already with your PG13 crap.
shareI think we're all just used to it, so we'll just watch anyway.
This looks entertaining enough.
Lights Out comes out in July and it looks awesome, even though it's PG-13.
The Conjuring 2 and Don't Breath will be rated R.
I passionately hate it when violence is toned down to avoid an R rating BUT.....
I think a LESS violent horror movie might actually be SCARIER.
All the overdone blood and gore and cgi is not scary anymore and there have been a spate of boring not scary horror flicks over the last several years.
The preview totally freaked me out, the way you could see the shadow in the dim light and then not see it when the light went on then see it again when the light was off, that creeped me out WAY more than ultraviolent bloodfests could, I actually gasped watching that scene.
If a movie cannot be too violent and instead has to rely on the creepiness factor you could be ending up with a movie that is SCARIER than most R rated movies.
It's not just the violence, but also language and sex/nudity.
shareSorry about my previous post the preview that freaked me out was LIGHTS OUT, somehow I got the names mixed up.
This Kevin Bacon movie looks like a generic time passer at best.
Originally Lights Out was scheduled for September and bumped up to July right before promotion, cause they knew they had a good horror movie. Also anything with James Wan's name attached to it is a good sign.
shareLights Out looks generic as hell, and Conjuring 2 looks just same ol', same ol'. My two cents.
It's all stuff we have seen before thousands of times. Ghosts and jump scares, ghosts and jump scares, ad infinitum. Nothing new, no original variations of classic horror stuff. Horror in 2016 is a disaster.

Sorry you're not old enough to see this movie yet, OP
The Titanic sinks, Bruce Willis is a ghost, and Rosebud is a sled
Breathe!! Please, learn this. Everyone does this now and it's not difficult. There's TWO ways to spell it: "I can't breathE, & take a breath". If you say it sounding like 'eee' there's ALWAYS an 'E' at the end. If it sounds like 'eh' there's no 'E'.
shareIt most be killed off and die out for good.
shareInsidious, The Others, The Ring (2002), The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Last Exorcism and The Sixth Sense were all PG13 and they turned out pretty good.
