Filming began in April 2014 in Los Angeles and ended in May the same year.
Now you know why he looks younger in the movie than he does in Gotham currently. Tho he certainly looked that young in the 1st episode.

shareBetter example of this is that he's in Incarnate which came out 12/2/16 and he looks even YOUNGER than he does in this movie (The Darkness).
He was cast for Incarnate around the same time as The Darkness was finishing filming I'm guessing:
