Query on possible storyline error?

Mystique can look like anyone but she can't imitate their powers, can she?
Just like in the first X-Men movie, when she was dressed up as Logan, but got hurt after his real claws attacked her fake ones.
She can't appropriate powers. If she could, she would be unstoppable.

So having her DNA wouldn't suddenly create sentinels who would adapt to any mutant power. As that's not what she's able to do either.
