Two sets of memories-would the new timeline memories have to be integrated again or unlocked?

He said to the professor about needing help teaching history since it didn't happen how he remembered it - so I'd say he just has the one set of memories.
sharePossibly the new timeline memories would slowly come to him and thus the old ones end up disappearing? Kinda like some suggest happens to Marty McFly from Back to the Future.
That said, I myself prefer he remembers things the way they happened the first time.
The ending as they left it kind of implies that he wiped out the mind of the Logan in the new timeline. Would that be the equivalent of a lobotomy or murder?
