CBM fans are such GIANT SHEEP…

…CBM fans are such gian! shee! that will eat up the new shiny thing and trash the older version of the character no matter what.

I remember after Christopher Nolan’s first two Batman movies came out, it was so cool to bash the Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher anthology of Batman films and so many people swore up and down that Christopher Nolan’s version of Batman was the first real live-action version of Batman and that his interpretation of the character would never be topped. Than The Dark Knight Rises (2012) came out which splitted comic book movie fans…and load and behold…it suddenly became more cool to criticize Christopher Nolan’s Batman and it was cool to like Tim Burton’s Batman again…then the Ben Affleck version came out and Christian Bale’s Batman was considered even more inferior due to the Ben Affleck version…

…and now everyone hates Ben Affleck’s Batman and all of Ben Affleck’s fans are embarrassed to admit they ever liked his Batman and of course…there are a lot of idiots who think that Nolan’s Batman all of sudden sucked and Robert Pattinson’s Batman is the “real” Batman.

I just wish CBM fans had MUCH MORE sentimentality when it comes to these comic book flicks. Just goes to show that the superhero movie fanbase has always been a joke and I can’t wait for the day people turn on Robert Pattinson’s Batman once his films have finished coming out and a new live-action version of Batman comes out after.

There is definitely a herd mentality at work. This film is being praised for goodness knows what. The emperors new clothes. It has so little going for it.

I've always found Nolans trilogy overrated but it does make me laugh that some are proclaiming this as better than The Dark Knight.

Ledger's Joker >>>>> Dano's Riddler
Bale's Wayne >>>>> Pattinson's Wayne
Zimmer's score >>>>> Giacchino's score
Pfister's cinematography >>>>> Fraser's cinematography
TDK's story and screenplay >>>>> TB's story and screenplay
TDK's pacing (entertainment factor) >>>>> TB's pacing (entertainment factor)
TDKs tension, twists, emotional scenes >>>>> TBs lack thereof
Bale's Batman >> Pattinsons' Batman
TDKs costumes & make up >> TBs costumes & make up
TDKs action sequences >> TBs action sequences

I'm at a loss for what The Batman does better than The Dark Knight.

For the record Batman Returns (1992) is still the best Batman film to date.

Herd mentality because ppl just don't have the same opinion as you do? lol

I guess you're the only one who's not a sheep.

reply

Not possible. Their r mo sheepz than ppl in werld

Actually i think the Score and Cinematography for THE BATMAN is pretty good. But i don't think its better even than Batman Begins.

reply

Not really bec Nolan Batman still best

You are barking up the wrong tree, OP. Most people calling themselves CBM fans online are shills and plants working for studios, troll farmers or fans of clickbait YouTuber influencers. They will take turns astroturfing websites pretending to be diehard fans, flooding the web with fake reviews and fake criticism. Most online fanbases are fake. It becomes very obvious the more you visit forums based around IPs and celebs that have a niche fanbase.

lol OP responding to themselves?

No, you typical Movie Chat fool. Anyone who deletes their account can still post, but they will all get marked as [deleted] regardless of who is commenting. People like you who post on this site are so mentally challenged, it's infuriating. How can human beings be this stupid and survive? You are really dumb enough to think I'm the OP because I'm [deleted]?

reply

Oh, you're minababe24

You're one of the first irrational, toxic people that I encountered on moviechat. You had this weird obsessive prejudice against the film 12 Angry Men.

When Batman Begins came out, I loved it. It was an amazing Bat-movie, and so cool to get to see Batman done well on-screen for the first time in years - since Mask of the Phantasm, I think. I remember loving the Nolan films but being a bit bummed out that the instant Begins hit the theatres it turned the Batman '89 message board into an extended nerd argument - as though both versions of the character can't be great.

Burton's films are my favourites, and these days I think The Batman is a close runner-up/tie; it's excellent. But I still have love for Nolan's (first two) films.

This happens with Star Wars films, too, where people trash each other's favourite trilogy or spin-off.

Weirdly, I haven't noticed this as much with James Bond fans. Everybody has their favourite Bond and favourite film, and only very, very rarely do I see anybody (on these boards, anyway) ridiculing each other's choice.

reply

That's a fascinating observation. You're right, I've never encountered this sort of drama with the Bond movies (even when I professed my enjoyment with Quantum of Solace when it came out lol).

I wonder why that may be.

reply

Yeah, it occurred to me awhile ago. I just noticed it while discussing "best Bond?" on the boards and nobody was going, "What? You like Brosnan!? Get out of here, poser!"

And I have no real speculation or idea why.

reply

Nolan's Batman is way overrated to the point where the storylines are nonsensical... But they are atill way better than this.

reply

This is better than Nolan Shit. On par with the first Burton film except it's not as goofy...
