this looks really, really, REALLY dark

and you know, that is exactly what we need in our lives right about now:

more deep, dark, negative, depressing, suicide inducing entertainment about how the world goes to hell in a handbasket.

We'll never get back to the golden era of Adam West.

It's not like anybody doesn't have the option to watch it if they don't want to.

That's one of the reasons I'm not going to see it. Theres a moment you gotta let the character go and let a new Audience take the reigns.

My Batman is the one from the animated series. I think that's s good stopping point. I hope others enjoy this. It's their character now.

The age of the anti-hero is finally coming to an end. And I say that as someone who loves anti-heroes and darker stuff. We're just getting so much of it, we need the contrast, something bright and happy.

the world goes to hell in a handbasket.

We can always use more high quality movies yes.

If done well and with nuance, movies with a dark tone and subject matter tend to be more memorable and compelling than lighter fare.

Lighthearted entertainment appeals to some people, but I find it to be more dull.
