Nicholas Hoult or Robert Patinsson ? Who would you prefer?

So it is now confirmed that Robert Patinsson is not Batman just yet and it's still between him and Nicholas Hoult. Honestly I would prefer Hoult. Nothing against Patinsson but he just does not look the part to me. When I think of Nicholas Hoult I do not think of beasts in X men but his TV debut in "Skins" when he was a teen and how good he played that tortured, self righteous, slightly manipulative teenager and it makes me think that he has the skill to make a great Batman. Just my opinion.

I have trouble seeing either one in the role.

Do not get me wrong I would have hoped for a better choice but if it's really just down to these too, I'll take Hoult.

Batman is an American, as James Bond is British. The Brits would never cast an American as Bond, so why are the Americans casting a British man as Batman?!! I think I already know the answer though: the apparent realization that there is no real home grown talent in Hollywood. It now has to be imported!! The last resort would be an Australian, but definitely not an American.

reply

There are plenty of American actors I could have seen in the part but yeah Hollywood always looks to the UK and Australia , it seems. It annoys me a little as a lot of talented young American actor and actress are not given any chances.

reply

If I were a young upcoming American actor, I would be demoralized and demotivated be the current trend.

reply

Are you kidding me? Really? What planet are you on? 95% of what comes out of America is starring Americans.

reply

Christian Bale is also from the UK. Did you dislike his Batman?

But out of the two, Hoult has the most potential to be Batman in my opinion. I mean if he hits the gym and work out I can see it ... On the other hand Pattinson to me does not have the right facial feature to be Batman.

reply

Hoult isn't masculine or athletic looking.
