I'm happy with Matt Reeves directing

Everything is a rumor right now. Some say that Reeves' agent demanded too much money, sensing WB was desperate to announce a competent and popular director attached to the project after Batffleck's exit. Others say that the studio was offering too little money for a project as risky as this one. And others claim that WB was going to put a LOT of pressure on Reeves, and he didn't like the script too much, which sorta makes sense since Batffleck himself mentioned some reservations about the script being written at the time. Each one is completely plausible. I don't think we will ever know the truth. WB said that talks were not completely over, but their latest record regarding directors for its movies has been terrible.

On the other hand, I'm sure Batffleck desperately wants to leave the role. He seems to be depressed, his pet project bombed horribly, and he clearly doesn't like the attention he gets being Batman. It would be quite a blow for WB if he leaves the role before shooting this film.
