Hot For Teacher Episode

Currently watching. It seems painfully awkward for both sides. Any opinions?

That guy is clearly gay. This lady needs a gaydar tuning, it was painful.

u sure he was gay?

I am truly appalled.
To be a little bit philosophical for a moment ( and sophomoric), feelings are the only thing we as humans ever actually own in our lifetime. Everything else is borrowed ( you cant take it/them with you when you die). But regardless of our feelings, we have no right to burden others by unloading onto them when those feelings are about someone else, and certainly when no hint of reciprocating exist.
The woman was obviously unstable to agree to embark on such an epic and nationally televised purge.
Unstable for not only unloading her feelings, but also in agreeing to stage it so with premeditation and deliberate abandon. There's nothing noble about being honest in this way. One or both of them will leave ( or lose) their job and go their separate ways, the friendship is over.
This sort of thing existed on daytime reality shows like Springer and Maurey, maybe the producers thought they could cash-in on the success of those shows by giving it some high-production window dressings ( the song and dance routine was stupid and cheesy)
You can cut the foot off a pig, but you still have a pig OR any way you slice it, its still bologna.
I felt embarrassed for her ( regardless of the outcome) for being part of this charade, and I couldn't help but feel that was what the producers intended. In my book that's just plain mean to both her and to the viewer, being careless with others emotions.
The woman already was unrealistically attracted to this creepy guy, so I am not sure what point they were trying to make with the whole" honesty" cathartic skit. She would have still been as psychotically needy had he been a convicted criminal.
Now they both have the shame of being associated with this show. Something that mat be tough to live down.
I hope this show gets yanked immediately. I wont be watching it again. Lowbrow dramatic crap!

I came here thinking exactly the same thing. AWKward. Why oh why

reply

I was flipping through channels and it came up.

Like someone else said, my gaydar was pinging loudly. It was cringeworthy and obnoxious. Poor guy was put on the spot and didn't want to hurt her feelings or embarrass her.

But them singing "cold as ice" to him was horrible. And her "I will survive" attitude was disgusting. SHE put HIM on the spot, not the other way around.

I felt so bad for that guy! She put him in a very uncomfortable spot on national television! She came off desperate to me for doing this and I was cringing with every word she said at the end before he rejected her. But I'm glad he said no if he didn't feel the same, rather than going along with it just to make a happy ending and/or to not hurt her feelings

Well at least we now know it's fake.

That guy is an actor by the name of Cary Epstein

Tell me, are you one of those "actually look into things a bit" kind of guys or are you more the "foremost information works for me" types? Because if you're the former I have no choice but to think you're not one of those "reading comprehension" types.

reply

I'm a girl.

Oh, and here you go:

Well good for you.

Alright, yeah, he's an actor. As if that's some irrefutable evidence that acting is all he has done or will do. Here's a notion: look through the comments on this Epstein fella's wall. Go on, take a while, read them, acquire information. Yadda yadda.

I assume that second link had some sort of relevance. It wasn't incredibly visible, but whatever.

The second one is just my sig

I looked at the links you posted. This guy is not an actor. He's just a guy (teacher/lifeguard) who got totally obsessed with himself being on TV and created himself a Facebook Fan page and a Talent page. If you look at everything on his Facebook page it's all about "his episode" of Mobbed and the occasional "Look for me in the audience of such n' such..." or, "Look at me, I worked as an EMT for Madonna and Rihanna." Who freaking cares? He should be posting this stuff on his personal Facebook, because I'm sure his friends and family think it's cool. But he's totally having delusions of grandeur if he thinks that any of this makes him some kind of celebrity.

I honestly don't know how he could be so proud of "his episode" of Mobbed. It made him look like a total douche. Howie had to practically squeeze the truth out of him when they were giving him false accolades. "Oh yeah, it was an honour when I met President Obama." He had no intention of telling the truth, even when he was pulled off stage. When it came to the flash mob, all he did was look like a deer in headlights and say, "Wow," over and over again. At the end when she asked if he thought there was a chance for them as a couple and if he'd go on a vacation with her, he was all for taking the vacation even though it was obvious he wasn't interested in her.

This thread turned out more interesting than the episode.
