How Real Is This?

Is there any proof that this is real?

Was she really surprised or was she in on it? It seems to be a real risk to put all this together just for the person to say no.

Or if she didn't co-operate and get into the elevator. She could have not even stayed to see what was going to take place.

It was also fishy that she just automatically had the time to go on a dating show that she didn't even initiate going to. They had to go and seek her And she just automatically left her busy life to go on this "dating" show they made up?

The way most of these "ambush"-type shows work, they usually go for marks who have willingly signed up for some unknown reality show, or they actually call up a specific mark to see if they'd be interested in participating in a show. This way, after the ruse is revealed, there's less of a chance of the mark declining to have their episode broadcast. Most likely, the second scenario is what MOBBED uses, since the mark is pre-selected.

My gut tells me that the accomplice wasn't so much revealing his crush for the first time -- the girl certainly already knew about it after 5 years, I'd think! Rather, he was just setting up an elaborate first meeting. The show played up the drama to make a "No" seem much more like a possibility to the viewing audience. But I'd think the producers would have really probed the guy to make sure he was on the level before they set up a big show like this.

I hear that there's a big FAIL coming up on the show soon, so I think that should put questions about authenticity to rest! Or will it?

I don't know. From the episodes I've seen of this show so far, something is up. Either these people are fed lines which they then act out poorly, or everything is staged. Something is up. It's just so fake I can't even begin to explain it.
