I hate this (and The Apprentice and Dragon's Den) but I am sorry it is going to Channel 4 which had failed in recent years to live up to its charter,while the BBC gets a lot of aggro for stivking to its charter.

Do you really have to pay for it(where are you located, if you don't mind me asking?) or do you mean because it happens to be part of your subscription? Because here it's on PBS.
It is made by the BBC,I am British and pay for it via what we call a tv licence.
PBS might be free to view for you but somebody pays to make all shows you watch on PBS.
I don't like everything the BBC makes but it needs to have popular shows to make up for the less popular shows.
I assumed you watched it my bad but I can't tell you lot apart.
