Zombie Tigers changed my life

Worst special effect of all time? I could seriously animate something better, and I have like no talent. How the eff did that happen?

reply

I thought that was the most unbelievable (and worse) part of the movie. Not only was it stupid, but it looked like a child drew the damn thing.

It's all fun and games until someone gets caught. Then it's larceny.

reply

I thought this was one of the better DTV horror movies, but yeah that part was dumb.

Changed your life? OP you really are a jackass. Personally I thought the tiger animation was better than most of the film's animation. It wasn't great, and for low budgets I wish they'd not even bother with animation and use special effects, but seriously, anyone could list off 100 worse animated animals in much bigger films. Piss off.

we can start the list with New Moon

reply

Maybe um I don't know... it could be called LOW BUDGET or something and no OP you couldn't do better on a budget they worked with. You couldn't.

What budget did they have??? $30? No computers? Computers from the early 80s? Please. You don't need thousands of dollars to create a decent animated CGI character or creature. It's NOT that fcking hard! Scifi channel needs to put some damn effort in creating decent CGI at low-budget cost. There are many CGI artists that will be happy to work for almost nothing and come up with good stuff - I know I do, but I do my stuff for mostly foreign companies - it looks good on my resume and am able to get better jobs (I am a freelancer.) It doesn't need to look perfect, but some of the sh!t that is called CGI is a fcking embarrasment. The tiger, the dog, the blood, when the girl samurai-chopped the zombie head... god, how awful...

I thought they were ok. It would have been better if the rest of the archerers were to continue shooting the animals from behind but they must have been too scared. Esp after thier leader got pounced.

It has been a while since I watched it but the first Resident Evil movie has T-virus tigers in it. They were being created inside those cylinders where the Hive's cafeteria should have been and confronted Alice close to the end of the film.

In this movie, they were a big surprise anyway. I wonder what was in those notes that Ving's character found by the fishing trawler.

Someone said in another thread that there were several items in this movie which hailed to the Left 4 Dead video game series. I thought the fishing boats at Long Beach looked very similar to the one's in the game.

The whole thing reminded me of a Resident Evil ending; just when you think you're about to escape on a transport, some big baddy appears.

A small, ugly part of my psyche was praying for a zombie mega-shark cameo.

I had seen the rating for this movie before I watched it and as I watched I was surprised it wasn't closer to a 5. Then the Zombie Tiger showed up and I thought "oh the rating makes much more sense now."

reply

Who cares about the effects? It's Asylum after all. But just bask in the awesome (if not silly) spectacle of Ving Rhames vs zombie tigers! It's as awesome as zombie vs shark in Zombie Flesh Eaters (Zombi 2).

Worse special effects do exist, but I have to wonder what a zombie tiger does that a regular tiger doesn't. I would be more afraid of a healthy tiger.
