why?

I read this was Whitney's favorite movie. Understood. She should have made the writers do justice to it in that case. The movie felt rushed. The transitions did not flow. And it didn't feel like a period piece. What was with that HD color Tv?
The lead could NOT sing. Those songs felt so awkward to me. Did Ms. Houston want to be the best in the film (no offense love. Rest on)?
And I am so Sick of seeing Derrick Luke in those roles. He has certainly allowed himself to be type cast.
I love seeing that chocolate Barbie Tika Sumpter. I guess no other shades of black existed in the 60s. Not 1 club had dark women.
Oh but Bay Bay... that Day Day...
Mike Epps did the damn thing for me. He was the best part of the movie. I was too too sad to see him go. I stopped caring after he did. Dee should have used that poker on Sister. He Made that dinner scene and was totally over looked. I was misled because he was playing a comedian, but when I tell you he breathed life into that movie. Bravo Mike baby!
Not sad I waited until 2016 to watch it. Wanted to like it sincerely.
