The beginning

I don't it. How do you understand the beginning, when she's found in the closet?
And what is it they want her to confess?

I was supposed to write; I don't get it :)

I don't get a lot of this movie. Mostly, I don't get why I bothered watching it.

Why, after Larry asks Michelle what she is confessing, does Rachel say, "Not about your dirty little * friends. I'm talking about me. What do you confess to me?"

Then, referring to Michelle, Rachel asks Larry, "The dirty little girl just doesn't get it, does she?"

I don't get it either. Was there a connection between Michelle and the family? Why was she in foster homes? Was there some kind of redemption that took place, and the whole story was in Michelle's head? I don't know, and frankly don't care anymore. Ugh!

reply

She was in Foster Care because her Parents died when she was 14.

It was flashing back to show how she got into the program.

Rohm handed her a card for "Darkroom Inc." She thought she'd model for pics and make some money. This was just a ruse to lock her in the large facility and be psychologically abused.

The scene with her being found in the closet is connected the home movies she watched. They documented Michelle's captors who had a history of childhood abuse.

Thank you for the explaination, cdjunkee. I've figured out more complicated stories, but this one went right over my head.

You are welcome. :) I just watched it not too long ago on a DVD set I bought.

I kinda wish the movie were a bit longer. I was curious about Michelle's captors aND the set up. But given that it's an Indie film it makes sense.

reply

True. And to me, indie films tend have better story lines than Hollywood.

I haven't figured the beginning out either

The director just wanted to see Kaylee Defer in a schoolgirl uniform. : /
