Yeah I thought the same thing but then again look at it this way. All these made for Sci-Fi channel, campy, cheesey, monster B-movies has created a cottage industry for nostalgia and revitalized the careers, at least on a small scale, of people like Barry Williams, Danny Bonaduce, Sherilyn Fenn et al.
Who would have thought Barry Williams would have IMDB credits 40 years after the Brady Bunch?!!!
None of them are making works of art but at least they're working.
Not to mention it's nice to see characters in movies who are more than 22 years old just like in real life. Hollywood's focus on youth is ridiculous. Pretty soon they'll be casting Robert Patinson as Winston Churchill.

Jeremy Gelbwaks and Brian Forster will be the leads as estranged brothers who, coincidentally, are both named "Chris". One as a sociologist trying to decipher the Quran, and the other an old surfer dude who live in Seatle of all places and has been waiting for the perfect "wave" as an immiment tsunami is about to hit.
A small cameo by Tiffany Brisette as the "Trucker Lady".
