lack of continuity

I know after everything else about this farce, this is just nitpicking...but did anyone else notice that the badges on the cops fur hats kept changing from Deputy Sheriff or US Marshal? It is real easy to see, the Marshal badge is round and the Deputy badge is the shield type.

Who wants to bet that Alice Cooper survived?!!!

Why was Greg Brady going to shoot Bigfoot during the hang gliding scene? I thought he was against harming the beast?

reply

He had a tranquilizer gun. He wanted to knock Bigfoot out and... I don't know what the hell he wanted to do, because once he wakes up Bigfoot would just start destroying sh*t again.

There was one bit that seemed to lack continuity if I'm remembering it correctly (only saw that part once) There's a part just after he kills the tour guide on the bridge, it cuts to a shot of him standing behind the bridge... and then for some reason he's walking through a town, with houses, no mountains in the background, and he walks up to a parking lot with people scattering everywhere... then it cuts to him jumping to the other side of the bridge.

So the sequence of events is:

1. Woman giving a tour on bridge near Mount Rushmore.
2. Bigfoot coming up behind the bridge and killing the woman.
3. Shot of Bigfoot behind bridge.
4. Bigfoot rampaging through a town far away from mountains.
5. Bigfoot jumping over the bridge from pretty much the same angle as #3.

I noticed that too, how one minute Bigfoot is at Mount Rushmore, then the next he's walking past some girl's window in a neighborhood, then he's back at Mount Rushmore. The guy who edited those scenes together must be a real dope.

Yeah, it's pretty funny. I don't know if the editor was stupid, or he just didn't care enough to make sure it made sense. He was probably working on it, and then he thought "This is a movie about Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams fighting over how to handle Bigfoot as they fight on top of Mount Rushmore... close enough."

Here are some screenshots from the scene I mentioned earlier.

BIGFOOT SMASH

Bigfoot standing up and roaring after killing tour guide (another great thing about this scene is that there are people walking in the forefront, and they don't react at all. Which means they shot footage of the bridge with random people walking by and then put in the CGI Bigfoot, instead of either shooting it when it was clear, or using actors who could act like they see Bigfoot where they are planning to put him.)

Suddenly Bigfoot is rampaging through town with houses nearby and no Mount Rushmore anywhere in sight.

Still no bridge, no Mount Rushmore.

And there he is jumping down.

And in the beginning the deforestation staff - three of them - run screaming out of the forest. Bigfoot grabs one and bites their head off, stomps another, grabs another and throws him to the ground. Next shot - FOUR people running from the forest. Sloppy jalopy!
