A Fun Horror Movie!

This was the best horror movie I've seen in awhile! Much better than all these big name Hollywood horror movies I've seen. None can compare to this move. You can really tell Joe Castro and his team put a lot of work into this one. The short stories are very well crafted, with nice special effects and some very gory death scenes. There is a lot of CGI in this movie, but it suits the look of the film. I also enjoyed the music as well. If you're a fan of crazy gory horror movies, I highly recommend The Summer Of Massacre. I look forward to Joe's future projects.

They gave the ƒucker a Guinness world record for "highest death toll in a film", which is total bull$hit considering over half of the "victims" were merely pictures crudely animated to death.

Well I am a fan of his movies. I own almost all of his films. I don't get why people hate Joe Castro. His movies are gory and fun. He's a damn good special makeup effects artist as well. I speak to Joe all the time on facebook, he's a very nice down to earth guy. He cares about his fans, unlike some other directors out there. So there is such a thing as a Joe Castro fan, your speaking to one.

The more you stroke Joe Castro's ego, the more I become convinced that you're either him or someone who's never seen any other horror film ever released: his special makeup effects are horrible (when he DOES go practical once in a blue moon, seeing as he's convinced animating still images is the way to go no matter how retarded it looks), they're hardly gory and obnoxiously cartoonish, and what you call "fun" I call a test to see how high your irritation threshold is; the writing and music is horrible too, none of his films ever have a script that makes sense and the film scores tend to make the viewing experience that much worse.

You bought his films? Talk about wasting money, get a refund and spend it on worthwhile titles.

ROFLMAO!! Sorry, I can't get past the part about Castro's SFX being damn good. Did we watch the same movie?? Watch some horror films from the 80's and 90's for some great fx. SUMMER OF MASSCARE is just sad.Sorry Joe. I call em like I see em. Try less crappy fx and work on a story.

It's just my opinion. His work may be crap to you, but I enjoy it. I could care less what you think about Joe Castro. He's a very cool guy once you get to know him.

I'm a horrible movie connoisseur, there's waaaaaaaaay better filmmakers out there.
