does anyone know if the people who tell their stories are the victims of such things, or are they just actors telling the story. I'm not talking about the actors in the show, but the people giving the story lines

The people inlast night's episode were definitely the real people with experiences. I've known some of them in real life.

I always note what the "real" person is saying what happened, and not pay as much attention to the extra embellishments they add in. Like when someone turns their back and a scary face shows up in a window- never part of the true story. Anything the actor doesn't react to certainly is fiction for sure. I want to think some of the story is real.
