Brian = Good Debunker

While I think the pacing on this show is hit or miss, I will say this - Brian is probably one of the best pure debunkers I've seen on this sort of show.

I find a lot of the time on ghost-hunting programs, the attempts to come up with non-paranormal explanations are minimal at best. In Brian's case, you can tell he's actually considering other alternatives before jumping to 'it's a ghost!'.

A good example is the instance where the recording equipment suddenly died on them - the first thing he did was give them batteries from a completely different pack, to see if maybe it was a bum set of batteries. Then, he went a step further, and gave them a different recorder outright, to rule out a problem with the device.

I really wish you would see more of this sort of thing on the two Ghost Hunters programs. (You -sometimes- see them do this, but I find it's inconsistent.)
