Gained some respect for Ed Soares

Silva's manager in the documentary has caught a lot of heat for his actions and words, especially during the Silva vs. Sonnen pre and post fight talk. Many people seem to dismiss Ed as unprofessional and unfit to be a manager.

2 scenes specifically made me feel that he wasn't so bad. The first was the scene where he's trying to get Silva to get off the floor and attend a fan meet and greet. The second was the painful teleconference where Silva seemed to refuse to cooperate (which I don't necessarily blame him for) and the look of sheer frustration on Soares' face.

Ed's trying to bring in money and draw as many fans as possible, which is beneficial to Silva (and obviously himself as manager). With Anderson being uncooperative (and again, I don't blame the greatest MMA fighter on the planet for not wanting to waste his time and words bickering with a renowned troll), Ed had to try to take some matters into his own hands. And this may have led to some of his "unprofessional" rants.

I'm not saying Ed is a great manager, but I like him a little more after seeing this.

That the frustration behind the ufc people, they dont understand that in other places is not all about money or image or status, Silva knows what he has and wants to focus on keeping fit , being with his family while balancing the business side of things while keeping a clear head and strong body. All those cameras , groupies and trash-talk only gets to you if you let it, the other fighters are desperate because nothing brings the man down, and for his humility his perceived as weak and people get abusive when they don't get a reaction than they want. Silva is the bigger man here. Its is incredible to me that after all this time Dana doesn't get that all it takes is one well placed blow for everything to end. Like the white shark in the hotel scenes, Silva IS the predator attacking its prey when its most vulnerable, stepping back allowing it to die a gracious death and not inflict unnecessary damage to its self, that in the long run will make it impossible for an older apex PREDATOR to survive and fight again for as long as it can.
In the end you see that its is frustration that brought down his opponent , he overextended his attack making him vulnerable, and overextended his physical limitation either or by over aggression caused by doping
