This guy is abusing his fans

Indeed! Honestly, Spoony has really taken a nosedive.

What happened to the Ultima retrospective? He is the ultimate word on Ultima lore on the web, and he hasn't even reached Ultima Online.

Black Hole of Board Games? "Rap Rat" was voted on top, but then he says the vote was "hacked" and of course no news for more than a year.

Spoony Experiment in general? He did a movie review... two this year, at most.

Heck, his last Let's Plays of Swat 4 (which made him famous) were so lazily-put together! He was almost completely silent during one of them (apart from the token "shut up" to his team remarks to move out of the way).

And now, it's boring vlogs that most fans don't care about, and long boring streams where he barely says anything relevant, that barely a 100 people watch, relevant and they miss his old stuff.

Even the AVGN, while he was busily shooting his movie in a crazy schedule, still managed to put out content during that time. And he just became a father!

And he disabled comments on all his videos, on Youtube and his website, and his forums are restricted.

Spoony has always had a conflicted relationship with his audience, but this really takes the cake. And now, he is silencing direct opinions. That's nice.

Once upon a time I liked Spoony. But more and more as time goes on and I get a better idea of his real life persona (as best as I can tell) he seems the kind of guy that would get on my nerves after a few hours of hanging out with him.

He does seem very opinionated and full of himself anymore and it seems, now that he has his fanbase, he doesn't feel the need to try and keep them anymore. This, sadly, is mostly true as a large amount of his fanbase (based on the comments) are largely fanboys now who believe he can do no wrong.

I really miss the days when he put actual effort into his show and kept it fresh. I am so bored of Wrestle Wrestle week after week or Vlog week after week or those godforsaken Counter Monkeys, which apparently are now just filler for him.

Get back to putting on your A-material reviews Spoony. We can wait if they are good. Loyal AVGN fans await his next ones, knowing that he devotes a LOT of perfectionism into them. But if we are going to wait, make sure the reviews are worth it and dammit, let us know they are coming. Don't shut out the critiques just because you don't like them. Learn from them.

At least the v-logs were something rather than nothing.

I did enjoy the ones he did with his brother Miles (cause Miles is a great 'straight man foil' to Spoony's nuttery)... his girlfriend with the coloured hair less so...
