Gwen's death is very unrealistic. It seems like hitting the head like that would split it open like a watermelon meeting mister pavement. Then again, Marvel doesn't seem very big on the whole gore front.

shareIf she would have hit harder, then yeah, but because Spider-Man slowed her decent, it was only a deadly concussion. Though she probably had a snapped neck as well.

shareI take it that she died from a snapped neck so really no gore was needed for the scene. It was not wimping out by sony. This is most likely what killed her in the original comic story.
