Why are stuffed animals considered odd?

Why are they considered odd or bizarre items? People can buy them at any taxidermy store. You don't need to go to some antique store.

And 90 percent of the other stuff they sell are things that are concerned with the human body. Anybody can go online and buy them from some medical or biology specimen store.

There are plenty of other collectible and novelty items that can be considered strange that don't have be associated with dead animals and human body parts.

So they basically just sell used, second-hand stuff that can be purchased new anywhere else, but they put a macabre slant to it to cater to the emo, counter-culture community.
