shareAt my public high school, they would actually lock the bathrooms because they didn't want kids smoking in them.
Also the roof leaked whenever it rained or snowed so they had to tape the holes up with garbage bags.
This was actually considered a decent public school in the area.
She represented white trash. That woman's representation is very familiar :) we all have encountered some kind of Deborah-like zombie mean creatures at least once.
shareI remember meeting a teacher like Deborah in Queensborough by the name of Delerei Springer who I considered to be a rather evil woman since she thought of her students as social security numbers than actual people. She would also make students feel worthless if they answered a question the way she didn't like and had a rather nasty attitude when students attempted to ask her questions. I really wish that she would have been fired but whenever a teacher is tenurized, it is very difficult to fire them even when students have made many complaints against her.
shareWe are dealing with a B*tch at our school, the PE teacher .. my 7th grader had her 2 years in a row now .. I try to explain to my daughter, that she has to deal with it, she cant always have the best teachers, or favorite teachers, just as when she will be in the workforce someday, you don't get to chose your boss, nor your coworkers. Mostly things will work out fine, and most people are good natured, but there will always be that one slime we all need to deal with - or ignore as much as we can.
I think what people are forgetting is that this is a second grade child. In other words, a 7 - 8 year old. She was not a middle or high schooler.
I teach in a 3rd grade classroom and yes, there are designated restroom times. In the case of an emergency, a child's most basic needs must be met.

shareso basically you are saying that all teachers are evil to the core, so you are telling me that my sister who teaches with developmental children is evil to the core, you better think next time before you assume that all teachers are evil, my sister works hard and helps teach children who are mentally handy cap.
