Very disappointing...

I don't know where to start...a clunky and plot-hole filled script, incompletely drawn characters, and so-so makeup/CGI effects made this a chore as opposed to a joy. I was eagerly awaiting the premiere of this on Chiller and REALLY wanted to like it. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, until about 30-45min. in, then I just completely gave up on it but finished it bc I am OCD about finishing a movie I start...

I was expecting so much more from Niles material after the well-produced "30 Days of Night"(even the following webisodes for the "30 Days of Night" canon were pretty engaging). Niles is a writer first and foremost, so I don't put the majority of this on him...but I definitely blame the production team, the director, and of course SciFi Channels(I refuse to spell it the ridiculously reimagined way they came up with:)little step-brother: Chiller!

The only redeeming qualities I could find in this movie were:
1.It filled the "Walking Dead" mid-season void for 88 minutes...
2.Lance Reddick is just fun to watch, bc it's hard for him to do a bad job no matter how crappy the lines or story...
3.Seeing little Gage from "Pet Cemetary" all grown-up was a trip...
4.Having never heard of Evalena Marie I discovered she is very pretty to look at...

All in all, a pretty big let-down...and for the sake of the OPs credibility-I am a HUGE Zombie movie fan who will helplessly be drawn into watching pretty much anything involving the mindless, flesh-eating, shambling horde...but I guess that's fairly obvious to most readers who also sat through this dreck:P
