Pathetic..just pathetic

Did anyone get through this without laughing?

1. Zombies with their faces decayed, and the rest of their bodies in perfect condition with no make-up/prosthetics....pure laziness.

2. Zombie protsthetics/make-up that was just retarded and did not follow any form of human anatomy....again, laziness.

3. Editing that sucked. None of the scenes gelled at all.

4. Very very bad cgi. The car wreck and flip looked like something from a Power Rangers show.

5. The acting was horrific.

6. The hamster ball was dumb as hell. I am sure a horde of zombies would just move and let you roll on through....

I would replace #6 with nonsensical plot development and add #7 inexplicable character behavior.

I liked the hamster ball, this movie portrays a more animalistic, instinctual "zombie". They don't seem to react very much to inanimate objects bumping in to them, such as the rope when going after the valet. I don't see why they would be compelled to try to stop a metal ball.

I'm sure someone saw that Mythbusters episode about evading a guard dog (when the only thing that worked was a giant hamster ball) and though "I'm having that for a zombie apocalypse film!!" so they shoehorned it in with no foreshadowing that I saw (a pity as, when you watch the opening sequences they are full of that kind of thing).

That's a completely relevant point.

My thoughts on the subject were more derived from when I look at nature. I notice that no matter how hard I try, if I try to sneak up on an animal it's going to run off. But if an inanimate object is touching it, or even bumps into it, the animal doesn't care. Think of a bird sitting in some plants, the leaves might bump into it repeatedly, the bird doesn't care. If there's a windy day out and stuff is blowing around and bumping into an animal lounging around, they don't care. But if it's a hand rather than a branch that animal is right out of there. It's why you can catch lizards with a piece of grass tied in a loop, the lizard doesn't care, you can slip the loop right over their head. Same way you can catch fish or other animals in water with lures, bait or whatever, but try doing it with your hands, even if they're right in front of you it's not happening.

It was a terrible terrible movie, but Tori is hot enough that I stuck it out. I also find the chick who played Broyle's daughter to be pretty smokin as well. Also, Lance Riddick was in it, which lent it at least a shred of legitimacy. Not much but a bit.

Yeah. I know it's low budget but the "fight" between Victor and Jensen was especially fake.

We should learn from our past mistakes, so that we can make new ones.
