Poor directing, horrendous effects, awful acting, disappointing

What the hell happened? I really liked the first two. I know the first two are B throwback movies, but this movie was something like a C rate movie. At least the first two had decent gore effects. This film's effects was on par with effects from Friday 13th one and that was over 30 years ago.

There was a ton of build up for any good pay off. The acting was even more terrible for a low budget movie. The sheriff and his wife were annoying jerks beyond belief. The directing was not good either. Did the budget get cut by a couple hundred thousand or something? I know they never had much a budget to work with before. This is a mess of a film and a disappointing way to end the series.

Gotta gree with you on this one, it was a disappointment in every possible way.

The first one is the only one worth watching imo (6/10) with the best fx and kills by far; part II already dragged and took way too long to get the group into the swamp (4/10) and part III was just plain bad (3.5/10).

This series is finished as far as I'm concerned. Too bad, I had some high hopes for this one .

Who are they? And what do they want?

reply

Your ratings for the first 2 are identical to mine, which doesn't give me much hope for the 3rd.

reply

Sorry, didn't mean to crush your hopes ...

Seriously though, this flick didn't even come close to meeting my already modest expectations with way too little VC screen time, bad fx and the worst ending of the trilogy.

Too bad, the cast seemed kinda promising with Williams, Galligan and Mears .

Still, give it a try, but remember to keep your expectations very low.

Agree also. While I still liked it, I thought the acting was horrible, especially the horrible dialog of Danielle Harris.

Who gives a sh!t about acting in a movie like this? *sigh*

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.
