What was she doing in this movie?

I can't find her exact quote, but she said somewhere in an interview that she practically begged the producers to let her do the movie soooo...

I thought she would have had more to do in this film if you know what I mean. She is so talented but was a bit under used here I think, bit disappointing

Ellen Page's role in The East is definatly to small. She is a great actress, but in this flim she made too little. I wanted to see the movie because of Ellen Page, and now I like the movie because of the story.

What was going through the director's mind to even let her have a part in the movie? That is the real question.

No, the real question is why wouldn't the director want her in the film, if she wanted to be in it. She was great in her supporting role.🐭

The film was good, the role they gave her was good, she was good in it. What exactly was your problem with it?
