shareAgree totally. A painful experience and then to top it off, at the end the spirit takes the form of someone in a sou'wester. Knowing that they die within the first 2 minutes, i would advise anyone to turn off at that point and save themselves the agony of finding out how.
shareIf you listen carefully to the police man, he says "this is where the bodies were hanging." He doesn't say how many people died. And anyway, a lot of films have something similar when you know pretty much everyone dies so you couldn't just assume that from what the police man said.
shareOK, I realise you are trying to be cool or something by simply
not saying a rain coat, but it doesn't matter since that isn't even
close to what it was. They were dressed as druid type monks, which
where cloaks with hoods.

I wasn't "trying to be cool". It was a poor attempt at sarcasm. But look again closely at the last shot of the killer where the camera focuses on him in the open. Now I've never seen a monk in a habit that comes to mid thigh and has horizontal pockets. He looks more like a fisherman than a monk!
And try not to take what's written on here to seriously. Or were you "trying to be cool" by calling me out?
I didnt realise that this was a joke site, I thought this
was a serious place to get info and talk about movies and
entertainment.
also, It is a robe, it goes to the ground, it has a
big hood that is attached to the robe.

I think and I could be wrong, but James is actually the one who killed them all and at the end he was the last one on the tree to hang himself. He was with Emma which he felt like in life he should've been with, and Scott was with the other girl. Again this is just my theory, but I think it makes sense. I don't believe any "evil spirits" played any part in this.
shareIt's really not just your theory, there's a lot of people saying the same thing. That said, I think James had something to do with it as well, but I also feel like he was possessed by something, that was causing him to do it. They captured too much on the film, to say that this was all driven by A human, that was simply following A myth. There was that flying creature that chased them, and them cloaks with nothing in them kept appearing everywhere. James was most likely the physical force behind it all, but he was def tampered with
shareI agree completely with your assessment Kyle, that's how I interpreted it as well. Certainly wasn't a remarkable movie, but an ok way to pass the time. I've seen much better FF, but the cloaked figures were kinda creepy I guess. I recognized the character Scott from Devil's Pass, a WAYYYYY better movie. In fact anyone reading this post that hasn't watched Devil's Pass, go watch it now, and thank me later.
shareDo you understand the concept of 'found footage'? Do you expect there to be an ending like Clue, where you cleverly eliminate everyone and say IT WAS HIM! No idiots, this is what it's supposed to be.
