Was the girlfriend really that incredibly naive that she thought that the guy who's been obsessed with her since they were kids were gonna help her boyfriend out from jail if she gave herself to him?

Of course he wouldn't, in fact her doing that to him probably made him make even sure that he wasn't gonna get out cause he finally had 'the love of his life' in his arms.

AND of course the fact that her bf wanted to kill him for having him raped and all made it even more ridicolous to suggest that he'd ever even consider it.

Other than that no major issues with the plot but yeah that was ridonkolous.

I think you missed the point of her giving herself to the playboy. He wasn't going to get the boyfriend out of jail. The agreement was that he would make sure the boyfriend stayed alive in jail. That's why all the photos with him holding a newspaper to show the date of each photo. As long as he's alive, she stays with the playboy.
