Preference: guy in a monster suit or CGI

This post is in response to the thread way below. Some people starting mentioning that they'd prefer a stunt actor in a monster suit with makeup for a change rather than CGI.

That said, the previous Sy Fy movie was a rerun, SNOW BEAST. It featured a stunt actor in a white fur suit and rubber face mask. But a lot of people slammed that one for being cheesy. So it's hard to please everyone.

Buutttt.....I have to agree. I'd prefer the traditional stunt actor in a suit, or, the full-size monster prop, being operated by a hidden crane or wires from hidden technicians.

The CGI monsters are still not realistic. The remake of THE OMEGA MAN, titled, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, starring Will Smith, back around 2008, was ruined by too-obvious CGI running crazed zombies.

I even liked the old-fashioned, stop-motion monster creatures from the glory days of the late Harry Rayhausen.

Ray Harryhausen. Or were you being facetious?

Wow, the younger gen. is finally catching on that not all old effects and movies suck.....sometimes this new crap is much worse...

At least Icebeast used a guy in a suit. As a Godzilla and Kaiju fan. I prefer a man in a suit. With very little CGI being used. Like with Super sentai and Kamen Rider, they still use people in suits for the Monster and Mech battles.
