Things I Learned from Watching This Movie

2. When you join the army with your small town buddies (and your husband), you all get to stay together throughout your training and be in the same unit for your army career.

3. Mark's helicopter is so well-built that passengers don't need headphones inside it - they can communicate over the rotor noise using a normal speaking voice.

4. Even if you're the first people to go down the mountain, there will be ski tracks in the snow ahead of you.

5. Bring more than one satellite phone when you're doing search and rescue in an avalanche-prone area.

7. When you're hunting an 8' tall 700-lb creature, the only weapon you need to take with you is a 9mm pistol with a couple of clips.

8. When trapped in a ski lodge by incredibly agile creatures, you don't need to fortify the upstairs. Just put some furniture in front of the downstairs doors and windows and stand by the staircase.

9. Abominable snowmen can get their hands between a closed door and the door jamb without opening the door.

10. You can tell the stability and usability of 50-year-old grenades just by looking at them.
