'Fear' rip-off, but actually better

Just about every scene in this movie is a rip-off of 'Fear' starring Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon.

However, I think the actor playing the boyfriend does a much better job in this movie than Wahlberg did in 'Fear'.

Al - Alicia
An - Andrew
Jo - Joseph
Be - Benjamin

The boyfriend looked and behaved like a total douchebag. I hated his smirking face with a passion. I think Wahlberg was more convincing because I couldn't take this skinny kid as a serious threat.

I agree. He was too delicate looking. Even when he was mad he looked like a little angry boy. I felt like she could have beat the crap out of him.

Cici: "Oh, I'm sorry my bad, I thought you were someone else".
Ghost Face: "That's OK, I am"

Yes! The other previous poster must be the actor we are discussing or a close relative, lol. This guy looks like a wimp.

Fear was not as stupid but it definitely paid homage

I keep saying the same thing every time I watch this movie. They clearly copied off the movie "fear", but being a true faithful mark wahlberg fan and the fact he is a MUCH better actor, they acting wasn't as good in this movie. I think the actors tried to hard to resemble every thing that happened in the movie fear. Plus the guy who played denny was overly dramatic when he got angry that it was actually more funny than scary. It also had so many eye rolling scenes, like the part when they first met and they INSTANTLY falls in love at first site. She has no problem tongue kissing him, and opening up to him telling him everything personal about herself. Then AFTER he clearly shows her that he has a problem with anger and abuse, she let's it slide, gives her step mom a lame excuse about the bruise on her face and the step mom easily accepts that, and then when the parent's tell her all about his criminal past, instead of being frightened, gets mad at the parent's for doing a background check on him (for good reasons)leaves out with him, and as a result put herself AND her whole entire family in danger. If i was heartless i would say "The bitch got everything she deserved", but she DID kinda bring it on herself by being so freaking stupid.

I liked the movie for it's effort(even though they clearly copied off of fear)and the guy who played denny was eye candy and looked as if he could really do his job well in the bedroom. Other than that, I would say and I'm sure others agree, that the movie "fear" is so much better!
