What this should have been...
In my humble opinion I think they missed a trick here...
I think it is a shame it was only 4 episodes shown over 4 weeks (in Britain anyway). If they were smart they would have made it a 6 or 7 part series and shown an episode every night for 1 week starting on the 10th of April (the anniversary of the Southampton launch... taking us right through the week of the voyage, culminating on the cliffhanger - crashing into the iceberg on the 14th, the sinking on the 15th and rescue/ aftermath on the 16th.
This way the plot lines could have been more developed, the story kept linear and therefore easier to understand and I have a feeling with it being a week long event on the 100th anniversary the viewing figures would have perhaps been stronger... especially for the last couple of episodes.
I would have liked it if they had concentrated purely on the real passengers and crew onboard the ship as well, rather than creating yet more fictional stories... but maybe I am wishing too hard now hehe.
sigh... ah well, maybe for the 110th anniversary...
