Unsatisfying vengeance

The plot summaries of this film made it sound like a joke, the 914th installment in the revenge film genre. But if it's well-executed, who cares. And overall this one was: nicely filmed, well edited, pretty good acting and a major plot turn in the middle that I at least did not see coming. So I was along for the ride. However, the demise of the characters you are made to despise throughout the course of the movie, which should have been the climax, plays like a blip. For me the film ultimately fails flat because the payoff is so weak.
