Iris knew? When did she find out? Presumably before she returned to Ethan since there was no time for her to have met with Celia after. So, lets get this straight. She is manipulated into committing incest with her father and then goes back to the guy responsible?

Really?

The only way this film makes sense is if Helena did not commit suicide. She was somehow murdered by Iris so she could pinch hit and botch the grift to get Ethan killed.

What say you?

I wasn't quite sure on that, either. I can only assume (and hope) the she found out "aftewards". But if that's true, what made her go see Celia in the middle of all of this crap going on. Doesn't make sense. So are we to assume she knew "before"? (and that's a scary thought)

She told the mafia boss about the scheme and snitched him out for him to get killed. So it does make sense in some way.

This is where the film fell apart IMO. Up to this point, the film had great tension and you started to realize--as an audience--that you were being played. I really expected that when they found Helena that she, SLJ and the daughter were all in on a new grift...either against Xavier or more likely the schmuck who wouldn't let it go. I thought for SURE Helena's death was a hoax to force the schmuck's hand (I can't recall his name).

Anyway, the shootout at the end ruined any sort of redemption...not that it has to be clean, but it ought to make sense!
