Is this worth a watch?

I'm a pretty big fan of DA:O, and I'm finally playing through DA2 after months of shuffling my feet. My viewing time is extremely limited between full time work and having an 18 month old running around the house like a crazy man. In other words, I have to choose what I spend my time watching very carefully. For those of you who've seen it, I'm just wondering, is Redemption worth watching or should I skip it?

If you're a "lore perfectionist" (which I am) then no, it's not. If you don't care how accurate it is then... I'd still say no. Nyree is an interesting character, but that's about it.

Very much so. Yes, it's made on a lower budget for the web. Regardless of that it is still better than 99% of the stuff on SYFY.

I'm a bit biased because I adore Felicia Day.

That being said, as someone who played through both games at least 6 times (each), I have to say that I enjoyed the show.

What, did you think I was gonna say something important? Pssh!

reply

Ha ha... youre like me.

DA is the only game EVER I cant stop playing. Annd I have been playing games for 3 decades now.

I enjoyed it. I agree the Nyree was a really interesting and fun character, and while some things you can see coming a mile away, it still held enough intrigue and action in the plot to keep you hooked. It's only 6 episodes and each one is less than 20 min (i think). So you could get an episode in here or there.

The entire thing is less than an hour, and you can buy it on Amazon for under $7.00. I thought it was well worth watching.

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.

If you have time to mess around with computer games, you'll have time to watch this ;-)

It's no Lord Of The Rings masterpiece, but it's a damn sight better and achieves far more than D&D The Movie (or it's sequel) and is made by fans for the fans. There's some interesting DVD extras too.

I say go for it!

No.
It's only watchable for the most rabid DA or Felixia Day fans.
And even those should have a hard time justifying watching this crap.
