What did people think of the scenes in which Helen Hunt was nude since she didn't look too bad.
sharePersonally i thought she looked good and i admire her for doing it. Can't be easy knowing that people would judge her because she doesn't meet the insane hollywood standard of fake breasts and butt lifts.
People like "Iran" saying her "boobs were loose" are just pathetic and have a warped perception.
I think the nudes scenes gave a lot of credibility to the movie and weren't overdone.
Totally agree with mirrored man. She was brave to do it, and I admire her for it, as the role called for it. It is not easy to be an actor....
shareI thought she looked fantastic. The fact that some idiots would be critical that she didn't have the body of a Playboy centerfold absolutely miss the point. She was beautiful and sensual in a realistic way.

She looked great and natural (bodywise), especially for her age. The tan helps!
And I agree, she was very brave to do it. I just couldn't help but think of all the cast and crew in the room and the cameras in their face, while trying to pull of this very intimate performance - quite brave and natural work from both acfors.
Except for her face - well, really, her forehead - Botox doesn't make you look younger, it's the opposite, despite what these women seem to think.
I've liked Hunt as an actress for years (even long before MAD ABOUT YOU, one of my favorite shows from the '90's---she's always been good and this was no exceptop. THE SESSIONS was obviously an indie film, which of course means you're going to see how real people look, and not some folks jacked up with Botox,implants and plastic surgery.
I like the fact that not only did the film show us an older actress well over 40 who's comfortable with showing her body, but even more importantly, an older COUPLE (Cheryl & Mark) actually having sex onscreen, and enjoying it. I say that because you rarely ever see that in a Hollywood film---Hollywood acts as if women,in particular,aren't even worth looking at as sexual beings after 40, which is ridiculous as hell,but it still persists in Hollywood to this day. That's what was so refreshing about the movie to begin with, and why it was so sweet. Plus Hawkes was too adorable as Mark---I like the fact that he's not your typical-looking male lead, at least by Hollywood standards. I like unconventional-looking actors anyway---they're a refreshing from the usual cookie cutter clones you see in the average film nowadays.
