The true meaning of Love
If you love something ket it go.
The Kids could have kept Jessie with them, which of course they wanted, but they loved her so much they let her leave their lives so she could pursue her dreams. Its not easy to give up your best friend, emotional support and the person you like the best in the whole world, but they did it, which showed that Jessie had done a great job in raising them.
Jessie meant something different to each of the Ross kids.
Emma. Best friend, and everything that comes with that, the one person in the World that grounds her firmly in reality. Emma lives in a World of rich snobs, but Jessie is hardly that, and Jessie taught Emma to see every person from what they are and not make quick judgement. Richer doesn't mean better, character means everything.
Ravi: Ravi in many ways is the red headed step child in the Ross household, but Jessie always was there for him, and gave him the love and support he needed. A wise old soul even as a child, Jessie made it very clear that he shouldn't try to change just to be popular, but to be happy with himself just the way he is. He is kind and human and was never any trouble, and thats just what Jessie told him in her final moments in the Ross household.
Luke: With Luke its more complicated, Luke is always getting into trouble, but he always loved Jessie, not as his mother, but as his future Wife, but in the end, Luke came to respect Jessoe not foe how she looked but for the way she cared about him. She was always able to motivate Luke and stress to him what was really important, and that in life you don't always get what you want-you get why you need. Luke cared enough for Jessie the person, over Jessie the sexual dream that he could let her go, showing he has matured under her training.
Zuri: The last and youngest of Jessies Padawans. Zuri is probably the one of all the children who loves and still need Jessie the most. Jessie is all things in the World to the young Zuri, Mother and best friend at the same times. The perfect adult playmate. Yet Zuri of all the kids understands that Jessie most pursue her dreams or one day she will look back on a life that she evaluates as unfulfilled. Zuri is a materialistic child, but she never mentions anything about the money to be made in Hollywood, she just knows that Jessie has a dream and she must try and fulfill it.
Bertram: significant is the conversation Jessie has with Bertram, she does not leave him out, and in many ways she has been his Nanny along with the rest. She brings Bertram into the circle of 'her' family. Letting him know she always saw him as a friend. He might be acerbic and beaten down by life, but Jessie lets him know how much she cares about him. Which is a very touching moment. Bertram wasn't just an employee, but a part of her Tribe.
Jessie is not a show grounded in reality its characters inhabit a very Disneyfied, cartoonish World, where nothing bad really ever happens, and true emotion is very rare. But in its final episode we witnessed the world of Jessie and Debbie morphing into one, and we saw true honest emotion played out. In the real world Children outgrow their nannies and actresses outgrow their characters.
As for Jessie, we can all say- she never let those kids down and in the end they returned the favor.
Parties over.
