Did you cry when... *spoilers*

Did you cry when Dipper and Mabel reacted to Stan losing his memory? I haven't had a cartoon make me tear up in a long time, but seeing Mabel and Dipper heartbroken almost got to me.

When they were in the Mystery Shack later on though, I started to have the feeling that Stan would get his memory back, but before that, it was rough.

Seriously, I started to bawl when Mabel was trying to hug Stan, and I also started to tear up when Mabel was trying to get on the bus without Waddles (which I thought was ridiculous, I mean of course she's taking him!) and it was hilarious when the bus started moving and all their friends and family started running along!

reply

Yeah; the end was quite emotional. I'm sad that the show's over. :(

That reminded me of the ending to Digimon season 1.

reply

Same. Digimon popped into my head, too.

reply

The last 15 minutes made me cry :c

reply

I started to cry when they where saying goodbye.

reply

^^Same here. Great finale

Given that there was still 12 minutes left, and that GF is still a Disney production (seriously, how many of their films end with a fake death?), I figured Stan's memory was going to come back by the end.

But yeah, great emotional VA by Ritter and Schall there.

reply

I got more emotional when Dipper and Mabel were about to leave, honestly.

The shot of their emptied-out bedroom was sad.

Agreed.

Listen, I'm a grown-ass man and the whole ending of that had me on the edge of tears, but dammit... WADDLES, that was what had me crying into my beard.

It's hot... but not as hot as the night Johnny Viti got married...

reply

It almost got to me when Stan looked at the family picture right after defeating Bill and it was sad seeing Dipper and Mabel's reactions, but I had a feeling he'd get his memory back. The whole last 10 minutes though, with Soos getting his dream job, Ford asking Stan to adventure with him, and everyone saying goodbye, I was fighting back the tears.
