Can we get this in the Top 250?

It needs ten thousand more votes, which could happen within a couple of years. Hopefully, the rating will stay high enough.

reply

Agreed! I have a strong feeling it will make the top 200 once it cracks 25,000 votes, which hopefully should happen within the next year!

reply

It's up to 16500 votes already and it's still yet to premiere in some countries, so it could happen next year unless it slows down again.

reply

Less than 7000 votes to go and there's not sign of it slowing down, so this is definitely happening next year.

reply

The animation was great but the story was seriously lacking.

reply

We're getting there. 3500 to go. Probably happening late summer.

reply

Less than 2,000 votes left now :)

Humorous Signature.

reply

It has slowed down a little, so I'm guessing it'll happen in October.

reply

Woohoo, only 1000 to go!

reply

300 votes left now!

reply

Nice, it'll happen in about two weeks then. Once this enters, it's time to start the countdown for Wolf Children.

reply

YES, Wolf Children!!

As much as I love the films of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki (7 of their films are currently on the top 250 films list), it's time for another Anime film from a different studio/director to get the spotlight as their films are the only Anime content on that list.

reply

Yes, the list needs a non-Ghibli anime and it looks like Wolf Children will enter late next year.

reply

Never mind. It'd be great to see Wolf Children enter the list, but it seems like Your Name has way more of a chance of taking it, considering its high rating and the speed of these ratings:

Yep. Another couple of days. Might even be tomorrow.

reply

We made it! Only 218th place, though. A little lower than expected.

reply

Yay! Now let's hope Wolf Children will make the cut once it reaches 25,000 votes.

reply

Almost exactly a year since your original post. Not bad.

Very happy for Tomm Moore and everyone involved in the film. They deserve this and more.

Humorous Signature.

reply

It was at No. 218, now it's No. 221. It could be out of the list quite soon.

reply

That sucks. Been waiting 18 months (exactly to this day) for this.

reply

Almost out of the list now, much thanks to an invasion of Bollywood movies.
