Saw it with DOD, I liked it, but....

It was a cliche. A cross between Marly and Me meets the Prince and the Pauper on Shake It Up with Lexi visiting from A.N.?T. farm.

What that siimply means that the characters are too similar to the actor's core shows.

Bella and Zendaya were pretty much like an upscaled more fashion oriented version of Cece and Rocky. Which was kinda of disappointing, because I thought they can take their acting to another diverse level. Bella was entertaining and I liked her more fashionable wardrobe, but Zendaya went back to the same smart goody two shoes character, which is starting too get old.

As for Stephanie Scott, her character, was pretty much a mirror image of Lexi, accept she uses boys to do her bidding more. I really thought they could try something different with her, but they didn't go there.

The only character that stood out IMO, was Mary Mouser's performance as the two look a like characters, she did fine but the problem was the plot was to simple, and Mary didn't have much material to work with.

All in all, it was a fun film, but nothing too classify it as one of the unique DCOMS. But it adds to the growing fame and love for Bella and Zendaya, there's no denying that. Those two work so well together.

But you be the judge.

don't forget a hint of Parent Trap. twins switch places and faking their accent? That's getting old.

Plus, there are so many loopholes, the plot has no tension whatsoever, and each story didn't get enough time to develop hence it's not believable. What a waste of talents they've got!

I think the OP covered that when mentioned The prince and the Pauper.
