The problem with actors who cry on demand

is that directors and writers make it happen once, twice or three times a show once they figure it out.

It's ruins the show. I've seen this happen in other shows, too.

OMG! The tears. Stop already. It is so boring to use that trick every 15 minutes or so.

Maybe twice a season; no more. Frequent use has the opposite effect than they are trying to achieve. I am aware of the acting, taken out of the story, and am not sympathetic.

Otherwise, good show.

There were a few times (actually - a lot of times) where her eyes would fill with tears and I thought - wow - that's amazing how she can cry on demand... but then I thought - stop crying!! they're going to know you're lying!!
That happened at least once an episode i feel like...
still loved the show tho...

A chat with you and somehow death loses its sting.....

Crying is a natural result of emotion ....so what is wrong with portraying it in the context of a scene?
Adriana Ugarte's audition tape has her demonstrating becoming quite tearful and that was one of the skills the author,Maria Duenas, admired for the character...and probably one of the reasons she got the role of Sira!

BTW....on this very topic, crying is the subject of this contest between actors Adriana Ugarte and Michelle Jenner....they both appear in Pedro Almodovar's new Film,Julieta....where crying was discouraged by the director.
Who could produce a tear in the least amount of time?Less than a minute after she got into the zone....Adriana won,but what is her actual process,I wonder?https://youtu.be/lLa8xfXELhc
