The constant Nas + Damian Marley name calling/pranking..

I didn't get the joke that he was trying to convey when he kept repeating their names to everyone and while pretend talking to them on the phone..

Somebody pls break it down..thanks

The impression I got was that he really, really didn't want to do those introductions, so he kept bringing it up later as a joke, pretending that he was so excited about having been able to introduce them.

The other part of the joke, I think, is that he had no idea who either of them were. Again, this is just my impression.

I agree that he didn't really want to introduce them being that he had so much on his plate already but at least Nas is pretty popular and Damian is Bob Marley's son so i find it hard to believe he didn't know who they were already.. Anyway thanks for the input...

He might know who they are but he's probably not a fan. He probably didn't mind introducing Stevie Wonder as much. I'm sure he doesn't like every music act he has on his show. But he felt pushed into doing the Bonaroo introductions. It was funny when Andy said "Who's your hip-hop hero?" because that's what Nas says in concert.

George Carlin: It's all bullsh-t and it's bad for ya.

It sounded to me that Conan thought he was only going to be the opening act. If that is the case I could understand why he was pissed. He thought he was only going to have to do an opening bit, introduce the first performer and pack his bags once he left the stage. Instead he had to stay there for the whole night and introduce all the performers.

I get the impression that Conan is a nice guy who gets taken advantage of a lot, and uses humor to cope with it.

I took it as him acting like he knew them and they were friends because he introduced them and they were "big" names probably more so to his staff then him but now every one else has me rethinking this

It was obvious to me though I may be wrong, that Conan was pissed about the intro situation, and being a musician thought it ridiculous to intro a rap group. Andy was the clue for me regarding the situation that they don't consider rap as a form of music. jmo
