I'm not sure on all the rules, but can you fake a confession? Since we knew Beau was playing them really well, I thought Ron might have been too. Like say, I can't take this anymore, and I'm going to tell you where the suitcase is so I can get out of here. Give them a fake location and that will ease your suffering for awhile because if you're a good actor, the interrogators will comfort you in the big questioning room, it will also buy you time from being questioned because they probably won't be doing anything while the detectives are looking and then when the detectives have returned empty-handed you have massively wasted their time.
It seemed like he went to the producers and told them to get the interrogators in. That's probably not allowed if it's just an attempt to mess with the interrogators. Maybe they had him sign something saying he was quitting and didn't want to be part of the competition anymore before the production team called the interrogators in and told them he was quitting.
If he broke down DURING interrogation and gave it up, then it'd be a lot more likely that it's an act to mess with them.
But if you could do that, that would be a hilarious way to mess with them. Do it at like.. 4 am while the interrogators are probably sleeping or something. Making the producers go in and wake them up to tell them that one of the contestants was giving up, bringing them to the interrogation room only to be lied to.
If that is allowed, it would be an INCREDIBLE strategy. They want to mess with you by taking your toothpaste? Well guess what, they're going to have to get up in the middle of the night and show up only to be given false information. The detectives get up and go out to dig it up and it's not there.
Or maybe break down crying every few hours "giving up" a fake location each time.
