Why do MOST of you miss this ONE detail?

Again, the guy who gave the up the hiding place was stupid. But the woman did NOT reveal she was the investigator. She said she was a D.A. trying to write a book. He asked her if she was going to tell THE INVESTIGATORS. She said no.

Still the guy shouldn't have said anything to anyone. But I don't get why so many people on these message boards missed the part where she clearly said she was NOT an investigator.

Why would someone out of nowhere want to write a book about me when I am locked in a prison cell for 48 hours PLAYING a game on a TV show? The dad was stupid plain and simple.

reply

Why would a D.A. wanting to write a book be interviewing a person on a game show during the show? Especially like.. 2 hours into the game.

"Hey, before you actually speak to the interrogators, how about you just tell me your whole plan, I won't tell anyone, I promise."

It doesn't matter who she said she was. The guy is a moron.

I think it's stupid enough when they talk to the camera about what they did in their jail cell, they shouldn't be explaining anything about what they did to anyone. But to flat out tell the whole plan to someone is just ridiculous.

It's a tough call on this episode. On most reality shows the players are pulled aside to do private interviews for the camera with the assurance that no one else in the game will see the confessions until the show airs.

So the guy could have been thinking that this really was someone just getting some background information for the editors to use.

I actually wonder what the interview policy is for this show. Most of the time the producers like to get comments from the players before everything is resolved.

LOL, its a GAME show for petes sake, the guy had to know ANYTHING he said was going to be used against him. This isnt REAL LIFE, he was in 'jail' for a few hours at best and then he gets questioned by this woman. He was a moron for thinking ANYONE who is connected to the police on a game show wasnt there for his benefit, but for theirs. And wouldnt you just assume there might be cameras and microphones of people listening in?? She wasnt his lawyer, so there is zero right to privacy in this situation.

Sorry, thats just a silly excuse. Everyone knows the police will try and trip people up as much as possible as she did here and the idiot bought it hook, line and sinker.

reply

I did NOT say it's an excuse. I said that A LOT of people were saying she introduced herself as an investigator, she did NOT. Im just pointing out that most people on these boards weren't paying attention to what she said to the guy.

I am NOT defending his talking to anyone. He should have known better.

reply

Ok, my apologies I'm sorry! And to be honest, I missed that too. STILL the guy should realize anyone in that room was NOT his friend. But I gotcha though!

reply

Remeber too that the first season players haven't gotten to see any of the other episodes so they have *no* idea how the game works. If it makes it to a second season w/ the same investigators things will be very different I think.

reply

PEOPLE, I am NOT defending his stupidity.

I am pointing out that MOST of you have said that she introduced herself as an investigator, or that he KNEW she was an investigator. NEITHER is the case.

I'm pointing it out as to show that a lot of you were not paying attention to this fact, NOT to defend the guy. The guy was an idiot to talk to her, even IF he though she was writing some book.
