Somebody, explain to me:

1) The opening scene, is it a dream or real? That crazy bitch even haunts her in her dream, too?

2) Is she a ghost or a crazy bitch?
a) wow, she disappears from their bed even David Copperfield couldn't explain.
b) she enters a locked house and hides in the kitchen cabinet and leaves even David Blaine scratches his head.

ok, that's enough.

yes I know but its not worth to think about. They're just hallucinating bcoz they dont get enough sleep maybe. The director will say, actually I want to make a ghost movie but suddenly I change my mind halfway while directing this movie. That's why, maybe?

reply

there is no explanation it's just idiotic. there really was a woman in the house and yet they were also hallucinating and having premonitions of her.

reply

Agreed. I wouldn't even call this horror. It's a thriller, if anything. And a weak and boring one at that.

Also the pictures in the garage ... she's in all the random pictures ... why????

1. That was a dream, duh. Premonition if you will. 6th sense built in to protect the baby.

2. This was explained near the end of the movie, if you were paying any kind of attention. The creepy woman escaped from a hospital where she had lost her baby, and been gone for 6 weeks. So to answer your question, just a crazy bitch.

a. The couple was severely lacking sleep. Yes, there were some scenes where the creepy woman was actually there, and some scenes where they were just imagining things. It's called sleep deprivation.

b. Apparently crazy bitches know how to steal spare keys, kill people while hiding underneath a cabinet, and then leave... yes.

Yep, it was really weird and stupid. The creepy woman was real as we can see at the end, there was her dead body on the floor, yet in so many ways she was something supernatural. Remember when Penny was looking out the window and saw the woman outside. The next second the woman had the baby in her arms outside, and again the next second the woman was gone and the baby was asleep in her own chair (Penny was banging the window and Alex came and was mad at her about banging the window). That was just one example about the weird $hit that happened. Just didn't make much sense.

Do you understand the consequences and side effects of severe sleep deprivation? Reality is altered, you hallucinate, every day life is no longer normal.

I felt the Director handled that aspect of the story very well indeed. We are led to believe there is something supernatural haunting the couple but the clue/s is in the title of the film.

It's all a deep end.

There are a few true cases of people (usually women)living in cupboards in other people's houses. The are generally found when owner installs cameras.

reply

If I remember correctly the assailant was an escaped mental patient, not a ghost and the couple were hallucinating because of sleep deprivation so she appeared to disappear.

It's all a deep end.
