Should have been a short movie
Only the Beginning and the and of the story were relevant, the whole middle (like 80%) of the movie were fillers and felt boring and total waste of time.
shareI liked the concept but found the execution poorly paced and mostly dull. The complete lack of chemistry between Audrey Plaza and Mark Duplass rendered the central plot impossible to swallow, too. I agree that it might have worked better as a short - it felt like a stretched out anecdote, with thin subplots forced in to push it to feature length.
shareI didn't think Darius and Kenneth lacked chemistry at all. Aubrey Plaza has this loving gaze about her, I think I would fall in love with her after 10 minutes by her side. Sure it's the old "hot girl ends up with nerd" storyline, but I think it worked.
