[SPOILERS](duh): The ending was hilarious! The movie rolls on as a carefree tongue in cheek kinda romance, and then at the end, BOOM A F@#ING TIMEMACHINE BOAT BOOM THEY F@#%ING VANISH FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH.
A lot of people criticize the ending, but I can't think of anything that would have made it more memorable.

It drove me crazy!! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER!! AHH!! But yes, definitely memorable.
shareI watched it tonight with some friends and we thought the same thing. We weren't expecting it to work and thought the movie was pushing for a sad ending, then BAM! It worked! We thought it made the movie better.
I was sure right up until that last moment that the boat would either blow up or they'd cut to black and leave it ambiguous. I'm actually really glad we got closure and a happy ending.

I loved the fist in the air, the entire last 5 minutes were awesome.
There are so many movies out there where you think "this movie was good, but that ending was disappointing", this was not one of them. I loved this movie from beginning to end.

There is nothing in the movie to suggest the time travel machine worked or not, only that it vanishes. Whether or not it worked is irrelevant, the fact she loved and trusted him enough to get on the boat with him was the point.
