I thought Tim was brilliant in episode 1x06 as the man campaigning against the use of Greenwich Park as an Olympic venue. Even that incredibly patronising narration couldn't completely ruin his hilarious performance.
"Typical Radio 4. It's all f*^(!*# plays about women having problems with their refrigerators!"
Agreed - Tim's performance in this episode is superb!
Also, DT's narration IS incredibly annoying. The show could have done without it entirely.
I re-watched both series last night ( i have a night shift job) and i forgot how FUNNY Tim's performance was. His perfrmance is the second best throughout both series, the first being Olivia Coleman capturing that awkward, real personality of most brits
David Tennant's voice over is kinda on going but it does make the show more realistic for what it's trying to achieve. Also, notice how (particularly through Tim's lines) the voice over explains to us the easier version fo what the character is saying,b ut if you watch the characters' lips they're usually saying the same thing :P it's so well done!!
